Abstract

This research is a descriptive study which aims to determine the application of marketing management in the catering business subject for students of the Culinary Management at Batam Tourism Polytechnic. The population of the study was 59 students of the Culinary Management Academic Year 2017 who had taken the catering business course. The sample used is the total sample because the number of research subjects is less than 100 people. The data analysis technique being used is the percentage of descriptive analysis. The research shows that the marketing planning system include planning analysis of the market, product, price, promotion and distribution. Market analysis is carried out by determining the target market. The marketing implementation system is generally in accordance with the plan. Catering marketing carried out several terms such as market analysis, product, price, promotion and distribution which can be carried out in accordance to the plans that have been made. The marketing evaluation system is undertaken at least once by distributing questionnaires to consumers.
