Persepsi dan Ekspektasi Wisatawan terhadap Kebutuhan Sarana dan Prasarana di Kawasan Jembatan Barelang Batam

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to observe the perceptions and expectations of tourists on the facilities and infrastructure available to support the new bridge as a new symbol of the Batam City. This study used qualitative methods and the data was analyzed by descriptive analysis to discuss the problem more deeply. The data was analyzed further by data triangulation or data collection techniques by combining several data collection techniques and data sources. The results showed that the perceptions and expectations generated based on the answers of tourists that the attraction power has enough results and the uniqueness of attractions Parik tour. It has enough results according to the results of tourist responses. Tourist facilities have very unsatisfied result according to the result of tourist response seen from result of highest perception percentage (19%) in toilet category and result of highest expectation (18,7%) in category of parking place. For result of lowest perception percentage (13,2%) in category health facilities and the lowest presentation results (14%) in the category of information service. This study suggested something to meet the needs of tourists who visited the Jembatan Barelang Area, such as facilities and infrastructure of tourism facilities, accessibility, and pricing.
